About Filezy
Filezy is a collection of free, no-signup file tools — merge and split PDFs, turn photos into PDFs, compress and resize images, and convert between formats. Every tool runs entirely in your browser: files are never uploaded to a server, which means your documents and photos stay private and conversions happen instantly.
Why we built it
Most “free” file tools online bury you in ads, require an account, add watermarks, or cap how many files you can process per day. Filezy does none of that. We built it to be the fast, no-friction option for the handful of file tasks people run into every week.
How the tools work
Everything happens in JavaScript inside your own browser tab. Your file is read from your disk into your browser's memory, processed there, and written straight back out as a download. There is no upload step, which means there is no copy of your document on a server, no retention window you have to trust, and nothing to be exposed if that storage were ever misconfigured.
You can verify this rather than take our word for it: open any tool, let the page finish loading, then disconnect from the internet and use it. It will work normally. Or press F12, open the Network tab, and note that adding a file produces no upload request.
What we don't do
Running locally has genuine limits and we would rather be upfront about them. Operations that need heavy computation or large models — OCR to make a scanned document searchable, aggressive PDF compression, editing text inside an existing PDF — really do need a server, and we don't offer them rather than quietly uploading your files to provide them. The tools listed here are the ones a browser can do well.
